Ever wanted to try dyeing your own yarn, but you just weren’t sure where to start?
Join Andrea at Growing Up Lulu on March 1, 1pm to dip your toes into the world of natural plant dyes!
Students will learn the basics of making and using natural dyes, preparing fiber for dyeing, and a list of resources. Each participant will get five undyed mini-skeins of wool yarn to try out three different plant-based dyes. All available dyes will be ones that can be easily make at home, without special equipment of expensive ingredients. A limited number of undyed mini-skeins will be available for purchase the day of the event.
