About Growing Up Lulu Fiber Arts

Hi, I'm Amber.  When my daughter Alaina "Lulu" was born, I decided to put my career on hold and stay at home with her. It was the best! I saw all the beautiful things I wanted her to have and kept thinking, "I can make that!".  So that's just what I did.

This all started as an Etsy shop. My vision was to make her stuff and my products would change with her as she grew.  Scrap fabric tutus with matching onesies were where it all started.  Then I learned to knit and fell in love!

My husband knew my dream job was to be a yarn store owner, with his love and support, we have made it happen! My boys, Tre and Leland, say they're not jealous that the store is named after Lulu. Leland believes we should open a toy store named Growing Up Leland - not a bad idea, Buddy!

Our small, family-owned business is so thankful for you! You who take a class from us, make a purchase, or pray for us. THANK YOU!

Meet Andrea

Andrea is an expert in spinning and dyeing. Lulu's is eager to share her extensive knowledge with you! Be sure to check out her natural dyeing events at the store. You can also join her at our Sit & Spin gathering, held on the first Wednesday of every month. We fondly refer to her as our Spin Doctor - she will diagnose problems with your wheel (call for details).
